Not only has our child been safely brought into this world, but I had a labor experience that so few women get to experience. Although long and difficult, it was peaceful, instinctual, and in my control. The ending was so beautiful, with the room darkened, fairy lights in the tub, husband next to me in the water, kitty on the stairs, one pup with his paws on the tub, the other watching from the corner, and my midwife team and doula cheering me on.
