Our focus is on empowering women to have a safe and positive birthing experience in the comfort of their own home. We believe in the beauty and strength of natural birth and strive to support mothers in every step of their journey,

from preconception to prenatal care to postpartum support.

Meet the Midwife

Monica Staszel
CNM, FPA-APRN

Monica is a certified nurse midwife (CNM) who graduated from UIC with her MSN in 2015. She has over 10 years of experience in birth work, with 3 years as a labor & delivery nurse &

8 years as a home birth midwife. She has attended hundreds of births and is extremely passionate about supporting women through the transformative journey of childbirth.

Monica takes on a holistic

approach to her care and is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby.

Monica is licensed in both

Illinois and Indiana.

She is fluent in Polish.

Monica brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice as a home birth midwife. Her gentle and nurturing approach, combined with her extensive training, allows her to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care that honors

the natural process of birth.

She has a deep respect and trust in the birthing process, and is dedicated to creating a warm and supportive environment for women choosing home birth. She is mindful of the energy she brings into the birth space.

During the prenatal period, she builds trust to ensure safety and comfort. She believes in physiologic birth, and feels that minimal to no intervention is optimal care for low-risk women without complications.

Having 4 babies born at home, Monica wants to be able to share and support you on this beautiful journey that she has been able to experience herself.

She understands birth and understands the importance of protecting your beliefs that surround your pregnancy and your birth. She will intuitively care for you and your baby.
